About Me

  • I worked at M&T Bank for 8 years and had some strange-sounding roles:

Operations Manager (we’ll start with a simple one): our team handled the onboarding of business customers to the bank’s products for moving, protecting, and reporting on their finances. My job was to run the department: manage performance, hit key metrics, improve experiences, processes, and relationships.

Customer Experience Engineer: think process improvement with a CX/UX lens. I did journey mapping, user interviews, brainstorming, prioritization, implementation, and change management.

Customer Journey Owner: program management across an entire customer lifecycle, inclusive of Agile product management, process and policy improvements, and reorganization initiatives.

President, Intrapreneurship Resource Group: an extracurricular role leading a volunteer organization whose goal was to be - and build out - a guerilla army of innovators from the ground up.

Previously, I was a Substitute Teacher, a Salesperson, a Waiter, and a Collegiate Assistant Baseball Coach.

  • I think you can count on 3 kinds of connection that set me apart:

Human connection: vulnerability, authenticity, and relatability are paramount for me. Let’s have some fun and build a real relationship here! Also, I’m open about my mental health challenges and value the gratitude I’ve received from former colleagues for my determination to ensure voices are heard.

Self-work + career-work connection: a core premise for me in this work is that this all fits together. The parts of your life will be aligned.

Rationality and emotion connection: I love taking “soft” subjects and applying evidence-based methods, with the versatility to adapt the approach to what resonates most with you.

  • Being Yourself: learning our values, strengths, and interests then making our lives more and more in line with them leads to the best lives we can live

Pursuit of Curiosity: fuel to feed the fire of an engaged, inspired life

Science: continually refines what we understand about what’s going on in the world, and thus what we can feel confident employing in our lives

Audacity: it takes guts and daring to stare down our flaws and fears, our hopes and dreams, and commit to taking action on it all

Antifragility: imagine our power if when life’s inevitable adversity hits, we don’t just carry on but improve

My eyes are two different colors.

Brand Origin Story: Following Curiosity

In 2021, a therapist helped me see that following our curiosity might be a good way to live. So what was I curious about?

At first, I didn’t have an answer. I lamented that others had their ‘thing’ and I didn’t.

In fact I wasn’t sure I ever would, because picking one passion meant ruling out all the others, and that terrifies me (still in therapy).

But then the idea hit me for how to embrace that: why not create a podcast where I talk to all different people about their different passions? You know, the type who light up when they get going about their ‘thing.’ And maybe it could grow to have a video element, where I travel all over the world, meeting new people, trying out whatever their hobby or skill or love is while simultaneously showcasing it to others, so we can all grow and experience more of the variety this life has to offer. Cooking? Guitar? Tribal dance? A science experiment? I’m in.

That felt like a life I’d love to live. The concept of asking, “What makes you feel Most Alive?” and the brand around it was born.

The podcast lives on as an oft-paused hobby and I’d like to evolve it. Aside from that, in 2023 I decided my professional career was no longer the type that aligned with the life I wanted to live. I stepped away without a plan, but with the belief that following curiosity and centering around who I am was the way to go. That led me back to the Most Alive brand, and for the first time to the thought of how it might mesh with my professional experience.

So here we are. I believe we’re Most Alive when we light up with our passions. Mine is helping people see, do, and feel that. I think we should all make our living being ourselves and doing what we love. Whether we work together or not, I hope you do more of what makes you feel Most Alive.
